2,5-Dichloro-4,6-dimethylnicotinonitrile has a variety of uses in organic synthesis. It can be used as a catalyst in the synthesis of esters, amides, and nitriles. It can also be used as a reagent in the synthesis of a variety of heterocyclic compounds. In addition, it can be used as a reagent in the synthesis of polymeric materials such as polyurethanes and polyamides.
