Cannabigerorcinic Acid 69734-83-4 is a chemical compound that serves as a precursor to important cannabinoids in the Cannabis plant. It is a conjugate acid of cannabigerolate and plays a crucial role in cannabinoid biosynthesis. When olivetolic acid combines with geranyl pyrophosphate, they form cannabigerolic acid (CBGA).

CBGA is then converted by CBCA synthase in the plant into cannabichromenic acid (CBCA) and further into cannabichromevarinic acid (CBCVA). These compounds eventually lead to the production of tetrahydrocannabinolic acid (THCA) and cannabidiolic acid (CBDA), which can be converted into THC and CBD by drying and heating plant material.

Cannabigerorcinic Acid possesses emerging pharmacological properties and has shown anticonvulsant effects in a mouse model of epilepsy. Its role in the biosynthesis of cannabinoids highlights its importance in the medicinal and therapeutic potential of Cannabis plants.
